經過多次使用後，山毛櫸木環可能會失去部分光滑質感。若想恢復光滑表面，請使用當地五金行購買的 220 至 400 號砂紙，在固齒器表面摩擦數次。或者，廚房裡的新綠色菜瓜布也能達到同樣效果。避免將安撫巾環圈浸泡在水中，以免木紋浮起。只需使用濕布和少量溫和洗碗精擦拭木頭。塗抹橄欖油或椰子油並擦去多餘油脂，也有助於恢復光澤。
